My earliest memories

of creating art involve my three-year-old hands clasping safety scissors. Collage was the first creative medium I truly loved. From there, it was a short leap to painting and then learning about the joys of textiles and sewing. As a homeless teen, I created art out of necessity— finding attractive ways to repair my clothing and the single messenger bag that carried all of my belongings. Emerging from poverty provided another opportunity for learning to make use of the objects around me. Scratched records became my canvases. As a result, the rare treat of a new paintbrush or tube of paint has never been taken for granted.
These days, illustration, collage, erasures, and weaving have taken hold of my heart.

Series: Heavenly Bodies on Earth

We are all connected.

In this series of digital multimedia portraiture, I draw a line between physical beings and the elements surrounding us. By reveling in the magic of the intersection between who, where, and when we are, we can see the higher power within ourselves.

Commission a Portrait

Series: Soul Portraits

You are more than the body you were born to;

Inside each of us lives a wild, sovereign beast. In this series of abstract portraiture, I ask subjects a series of questions and intuit the result. By creating each piece in the moment, I allow my own subconscious impression of the individual to shine through, reflecting not the human I see before me, but the soul I feel resonating with my own.

Series: Erasing COVID-19

Created from the early days of the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, artist and poet Jennifer Borges Foster and I created daily erasure poems to share with one another in an attempt to process and connect with art and one another despite isolation. This is my half of our collaborative series.

Show: The Art of Tarot

February 2018

A total of six pieces were created for this show, including the two samples below: The Lovers (left), and Justice (right). This show included many visual artists from all over the Pacific Northwest and beyond and featured esoteric artworks in a variety of mediums.

My pieces were displayed as 10x10 prints with hand-painted lettering, as well as 4x4 prints with hand-painted lettering and individual pre-written readings included with each print. This was a limited series and is no longer in production.
